Core Insight Lectures at Massage College

On July 8th, 2011, Dr. Jennifer Drover of Core Insight gave a lecture to the massage students at Academy Canada in St. John’s Newfoundland. She reviewed her approach to the assessment and manual treatment of TMJ/TMD.

Temperomandibular joint problems are very common. When this joint complex dysfunctions problems arise such as teeth grinding, clenching, popping during mouth opening and facial pain. Core Insight is well equipped to manage the condition known as TMD or temperomandibular dysfunction. We have a process that allows us to quickly discover the cause of the problem and to systematically correct it. One part of our process included the use of Craniosacral Therapy. Craniosacral Therapy is a technique that is invaluable in treating TMD. It allows the practitioner to gently work with the structures of the head and face to bring about better jaw mechanics.
